Healthy Personal Relationships

Personal relationships have a powerful impact on health. It is very important to make sure that your relationship with your spouse or significant other and your family is the best it can be. Your home should be your haven and be a place that you can recoup from everyday stresses in life. I have just read three excellent books that can help with this. I will be adding more books and articles about stress reduction all the time. These books are very short and to the point with very valuable insights.
For Women Only by Shaunti Feldhahn, is an excellent book that lets women understand why men do what they do. I am in the process of reading this book, but what I have read so far has helped me to better understand why my husband does what he does .
For Men Only by Shaunti and Jeff Feldhahn is just as helpful so that you men can really get insight as to why we women do what we do. As a woman I can say that this book is right on and really has some useful information that men can actually use to really know how their significant other feels and thinks.
For Parents Only by Shaunti Feldhahn and Lisa Rice, helps parents understand why their teens and preteens do what they do. I have already used some of these ideas with my son and they are working.
These books are based on surveys conducted with each respective group and give concrete advice on how to understand the differences in each other so we can have safe havens at home and great relationships which can bring great joy into our life. Being joyful is a great way to reduce stress.
